Weddings
Our Hall complex has provided the venue for many enjoyable celebrations since its creation. The village setting, next to the fine Parish Church, the wonderful views over the picturesque valley landscape, as well as the excellent facilities of the venue itself, all combine to provide a memorable day for any couple and their families and relations.
Both buildings in the complex are licensed for Civil Weddings if you are looking for a non-Church location at which to have a ceremony. Or maybe you have had a wedding in Church and are looking for an attractive venue for your Reception / Party.
Batcombe village itself also has its own pub adjacent to the Hall site (The Three Horseshoes Inn), and this offers food as well as drink. For those wishing to stay overnight, there are several nearby local farms offering comfortable and homely bed and breakfast accommodation.
Both the Jubilee Hall and Old School have top-class Facilities, and the modern, well-equipped Hall kitchen has proved itself popular with caterers when providing meals for wedding receptions and other parties. Tables, chairs, crockery, cutlery and glasses are available for hire, and as the premises are licensed, a bar can be provided and run by members of the Hall Committee.
There is also an excellent sound system in the Jubilee Hall and a stage for the performance of live music or discos. Read what one happy couple thought of our hall on the Accreditation page.
